At the initiative of Pole Djerid aimed at implementing an integrated pilot project in solar pumping and optimized irrigation at the Oasis of Midès, a delegation of experts from GIZ specialized in solar energy visited the village of Midès and the delegation of Hezoua in the governorate of Tozeur to study the practical alternatives to implement the said project as soon as possible.

The visit is part of the efforts made by the Pole of Djerid to support innovative projects in solar field including photovoltaic especially in farming business, with the principles of sustainable farming activities and additional incomes and also to support the transition to more environmentally friendly crops and biodiversity conservation.
